In March 2020, the mask became more valuable than gold. This period with several consecutive lock down has shown us the importance of moments of pleasure in our life. If we missed restaurants and bars for the convivial moment, the closure of museums and galleries has made everyday life bland for some of us.

 

Zoris decided to transform the mask, symbol of the pandemic, into a work of art to immortalize this very special period. He wanted to change the negative view of this object and place it in an artistic dimension.

 

Materials like brass, gold and palladium have been chosen to make them timeless. The designs that adorn the masks were inspired by 19th century masters as a reminder that art nourishes our souls even in the hardest of times.

 

Designed as works of art, they can also be worn. The openings left by the ornaments in these masks can be interpreted as a sign of rebellion against the contradictions to which we have been subjected, but above all, they symbolize the return to a free life.
